PenBasic

Formerly our Basic chequing account, our PenBasic account allows you to easily keep track of your cheques with monthly statements and is one of the lowest cost chequing accounts in the industry. It is a “pay as you go” account with a low monthly fee of $2.25. All transactions are charged separately; cheques, debit/Interac transactions, pre-authorized payments, on-line and by phone bill payments are 50¢ and in-branch bill payments are $1.85.

If you write more than a couple of cheques per month and/or use your member card weekly for point of sale purchases, signing up for one of our package accounts, listed below, may be in your best interest.

PenPlus

PenPlus, formerly our Regular, Civic Package and PenService accounts, provides you with 15 free debit transactions* per month for a low monthly fee of $4.50. Transactions over and
above the 15 included, are charged as per the regular service fee schedule, cheques, debit/Interac transactions, pre-authorized payments, on-line and by phone bill payments are 50¢ and in-branch bill payments are $1.85.

If a minimum monthly balance of $1,000 is maintained , the monthly service fee is waved**.

If you use your member card for point of sale purchases on a regular basis and/or have more than a few pre-authorized debits going through your account i.e. utility bill payments, insurance company premiums, the PenPremium Account may be the account for you.

PenPremium

(Formerly our Flat Fee accounts). The PenPremium Account allows you to make an unlimited amount of monthly debit transactions for just $11.00/mth and also includes 4 No Fee Money Orders/month, 4 No Fee Drafts/month, and much more!

In addition, if a minimum monthly balance of $2,500 is maintained, the service fee will be waved**.

U.S. Chequing Accounts

This account is designed for members who frequently travel to the United States or who hold assets there. U.S. funds can be withdrawn in cash, in-branch or through the use of cheques, travellers’ cheques, money orders or drafts. There is no monthly fee associated with this account. Each withdrawal transaction is $1.00 (US).
