This year, PenFinancial is sponsoring up to four young Members to attend the CYL camp. This sponsorship includes meals, accommodations and materials. The selected applicants must arrange transportation to and from the camp.
Where is the program held?
The 2016 program will be held at Lake St. George Field Centre in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Transportation to and from the program must be organized by the participant. Read the full details on the CYL website. http://www.ontario.coop/programs_services/coop_education/cooperative_young_leaders_program
CYL session dates:
The CYL Summer Camps are organized into Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels.
JUNIOR: For first-time participants aged 14-15 years old. You must be 14 years old while at camp.
A July 3-9, 2016
B July 10-16,2016
INTERMEDIATE: For Junior graduates or youth aged 15-16 years old or Junior grads.
A July 17-23, 2016
B July 24-30, 2016
SENIOR: 16-18 years old, or Intermediate grads.
A July 30 – August 6, 2016
B August 6-13, 2016
Junior fee: $850 plus HST
Intermediate/Senior Fee: $875 plus HST.
The amount is made up of the sponsor fee ($650 or $675)) and a participant fee of $200.00. Successful applicants pay the participant portion of $200 upon qualification for sponsorship. The $200 participant portion must be received by PenFinancial on or before May 20th, 2016. PenFinancial will pay the balance upon the participant’s CYL Camp registration. (Cancellation or change fees are the responsibility of the participant. See the CYL website for more information.

• A little about yourself ... your age, your interests, etc.
• Why you would like to attend a CYL session
• Whether you've attended a CYL session before
• How you will benefit
• What you hope to achieve
• Please be sure to include your name, age, mailing address, phone number and email address within your letter so we can contact you!
The deadline for submissions for sponsorship, is noon on Friday, May 6th, 2016. Successful applicants will be notified by PenFinancial Credit Union on or before Wednesday, May 11th, after which they will be required to submit the participant contribution fee of $200+HST. Successful applicants will then need to apply to CYL directly on or before May 20th, 2016.
