Effective September 1, 2026, we’re excited to introduce new business account packages, designed to give you more flexibility, predictability, and value. We’re moving from a single business account to offering three new account packages, each tailored to different business needs and transaction levels.

On September 1, 2026, we are moving our business chequing account structure to give our business members more options for their banking needs. These new packages include flat monthly fees, more Interac e-Transfers, and updates to other fees.

No. In July we mailed a letter advising which business account package we would be transitioning your account to. If you’re comfortable with the decision, there is no action required from you, and you will not lose any transaction history.
In July, PenFinancial business members were mailed a letter advising which package we believe best suits the needs of that business. If you’d like to confirm which package you’re moving to, or would like to change the package we decided on, please call your advisor or call our Truly Local Contact Centre at 1-866-866-6641.
Beginning September 1, 2026, there will be a $2.50 fee per $1,000 deposited. The first $1,000 of cash & coin deposits will not be charged each month. This change reflects ongoing changes reflecting increased costs associated with processing and handling cash and coin. The fee will be applied at the beginning of the following month – it is not included in the end-of-month fee.

*Interac e-Transfers included in account packages are reimbursed within 7 days of the following month. Account packages and other fees are subject to change.

Interac e-Transfers will be charged at the time of transfer, but refunded after month-end in accordance with package conditions.
Transaction: Includes pre-authorized debits, cheque clearing, ATM debit transactions, transfers between accounts, bill payments online and using telephone banking. In-branch bill payments are $1.85.
Minimum monthly balance must be maintained for the entire month in order to waive monthly package fee.
