Me-to-Me Transfers

Me-to-Me Transfer now available!

Me- to-Me allows you to conveniently move your money between your PenFinancial Credit Union accounts and accounts at other financial institutions. Me-to-Me is perfect for you if you do high volume and/or high frequency transfers between multiple financial institutions. With Me-to-Me, you can do immediate one time, future dated, or recurring transfers. It’s is to use and it’s available online 24/7!

Who can use this service?
MemberDirect® online banking can us Me-to-Me. Accounts at PenFinancial or another financial institution that require two or more signatures to perform transactions cannot be linked. If you haven’t yet signed up for MemberDirect® online banking, please visit your local PenFinancial branch to sign up.

What does it cost to use Me-to-Me?
Sending a Me-to-Me transfer incurs an immediate $1.50 charge. PenFinancial does not charge for receiving a transfer. You may want to check with your other financial institution about their fees prior to linking your accounts through Me-to-Me. For more information, call or visit your branch

How do I set up Me-to-Me and link my accounts?

  1. Log into MemberDirect® online banking and click ‘transfers’ in the left side menu
  2. Click on ‘link external accounts’
  3. Click on ‘add an account’
  4. Click, download and print the ‘Me-to-Me Transfer Authorization Form”
  5. Follow the instructions on the form to provide account information, along with a void cheque from the financial institution you with to link to, along with your authorization
  6. Drop off your signed authorization form and void personalized cheque to your PenFinancial branch

A few important things to keep in mind

  • Me-to-Me Transfers are subject to account restrictions, transaction limits and availability of funds
  • Recurring transfers and post-dated transfers can also be set up
  • If the other financial institution also has Me-to-Me, the transactions happen in real time and the funds are available immediately, If the other financial institution does not have Me-to-Me, the funds will be processed through the clearing system and will have an automatic 5 day hold placed on them.
  • Your account at the other FI must have sufficient funds on the date you specify the transfer will take place. If you don’t have sufficient funds in your other account, the transfer will be cancelled and you may be charged a transfer fee.

Me-to-Me Transfer Limits

You are able to transfer the following amounts per member account number.

Outgoing

  • Daily: $5,000.00 CDN
  • Weekly: $10,000.00 CDN
  • Monthly: $15,000.00 CDN

Incoming

  • Daily: $25,000.00 CDN
  • Weekly: $50,000.00 CDN
  • Monthly: $100,000.00 CDN
